I'm Ali, the founder of Inspired Styling

After studying Textiles & Fashion and then graduating from University of the Arts London, I enjoyed a successful marketing career. When I was made redundant, I lost my identity in many ways. My wardrobe was a jumble of sale bargains and outfits from my pre-kids days. I received a colour analysis as a gift, and I was transformed!

I rediscovered a love of dressing to feel good and I knew I could help others experience their own joyful style transformation too. Reinvigorated by a confident new lease of life, I researched day and night to learn my craft. I launched Inspired Styling and the rest is history!

Today, I'm using all I've been through and all I've learnt to help other women evolve on their own style journeys. I offer personalised online services to help women like you feel amazing in what you wear every day. You can also book an in-person image consultation in Surrey or London.

Biggest fashion moment?

Making my own wedding dress (with the help of my talented Mum). It was Grecian-style with an asymmetric shoulder.

Worst styling disaster?

Going bleach-blonde in my teens. It looked awful with my natural Muted Autumn colouring!

Favourite looks?

Dresses are my go-to. Comfy, and looks like I’ve made an effort! I'm a lover of leopard print, dusky pink and olive green.

What makes my services stand out?

Accessible

I’m not an intimidating high-end fashionista or a snobby image consultant! I recommend appropriate high-street looks for your lifestyle that are stylish yet comfortable. I want you to feel good in clothes that suit you. My recommendations are shared in a supportive way, and I celebrate all body shapes and sizes.

Inspiring

I’m here to help get you out of a style rut. My mission is to get you feeling excited to get dressed, and glowing with confidence at your radiant reflection. Using personal colour analysis as a foundation, I'll give you the tools to build your signature style. Whether it's staples or statement pieces, let’s invest in you, because you’re worth it!

Convenient

My stylist services fit around you, whether you’re busy at work or juggling home life (or both!). With my online services, you get personalised styling recommendations direct to your inbox without leaving the comfort of your sofa. With my face-to-face style consultations, I come to your home so there's no need for you to travel.

Pragmatic

Whilst it’s fun to hit the shops, I’m also mindful of sustainable choices and spending wisely. I advise clients to ‘shop’ their own wardrobes, have clothes altered and buy pre-loved. My simplest recommendations include experimenting with accessories and how to style existing pieces.

As seen in national press and magazines

My personal styling advice has been published in Woman & Home, Women’s Health, HuffPost, The Telegraph and GB News. I’m delighted to have worked on PR campaigns with several leading fashion brands including Next, Joules and Michael Kors.

Following a nationwide search, Inspired Styling was selected as part of the SmallBiz100 line-up, which showcased 100 of the UK's most impressive independent businesses as part of Small Business Saturday in December 2024.

Running in the UK for over a decade, Small Business Saturday celebrates small businesses and encourages consumers to support businesses in their communities.

I was invited to a special lunch event at The House of Lords to celebrate this accolade!
